Writing our own affirmations makes them personal to us, which can then help us to get through our own individual situations. <\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>When you start writing your own affirmations, keep these tips in mind: <\/b><\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Make them personal.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> When you write affirmations, it&#8217;s important to remember to use <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;I&#8221;<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in them. When you use the past tense, you get nostalgic. When you use the future tense, you get hopeful.
